TouchStore Rx

Earlier this year we released a brand new version of TouchStore Rx with a completely new design and major performance enhancements. With the introduction of FMD looming, it’s important for us to explain how our solution will operate.

Integrated FMD Solution

Our integrated solution will sit within our TouchStore Rx product. TouchStore Rx will prompt the user to scan medicines as part of the dispensing workflow. The medicines will only need to be scanned once, at which point the unique serial number will be aggregated to the bag label barcode and decommissioned as part of the handout process.

Standalone FMD Solution

Our standalone solution offers minimal disruption to your pharmacy workflow. FMD scans are carried out independently of the PMR so the touch points in your pharmacy can be selected to suit your existing workflows.

Our system will be upgraded in plenty of time for FMD to accommodate barcode scanning functionality.

TouchStore Rx – Improved Reporting

In today’s customer-centric, digital-first world, many pharmacy owners are bombarded with ‘information overload’ and are urgently seeking ways to derive greater control, understanding and intelligence from their pharmacy’s data.

Our recently launched Head Office reporting tool offers new approaches to radically improve the ability to formulate sophisticated reports. This tool can create complex graphs giving a similar feel as the pivot table graphs in Excel. Moreover, it can handle a lot more data and quickly provide calculations on datasets.

When it comes to differences between static reporting tools and TouchStore reports, there are four core differences to consider:

    1. Data visualisation

TouchStore HO Reporting is a data visualisation tool meaning it’s technology is there to support complex computations, data blending and dashboarding for the purpose of creating powerful visualisations that deliver insights that cannot easily be derived from staring at a spreadsheet.

    1. Data Discovery

The ability to explore data and find insights is where TouchStore reports remain superior. When working with static reporting tools, you must already have an idea of where the data needs to lead you to find critical insights, meaning your path to an insight involves mapping out your answer, building formulas and visualisations, and analysing the information. Our HO reporting tool allows you to freely explore data without knowing the answer you want ahead of time. With drill-down and data blending features built in, you’re able to spot correlations and trends, and then dig down to understand what caused them to happen, rather than the other way around.

    1. Automation Functionality

Many large pharmaceutical retailers rely on up-to-date data to make critical decisions. TS HO reports are extremely intuitive with creating processes and calculations. For example, when creating calculations in a tabular format, the formula can be typed once, stored as a field and applied to all rows referencing that source. This makes it easier to create and apply recurring processes.

    1. Visualisations

Visualisations are a great way to highlight the data that’s important. However, when using spreadsheets, you first manipulate the data on the cell level, and then manually create visualisations like graphs, charts, PowerPoint presentations, etc. TS HO reports visualises data from the start, allowing you to see the significance instantaneously. It also differentiates correlations using colour, size, labels and shapes, giving you context as you drill down and explore on a granular level.

Retail 365

Launched in 2016, TouchStore’s award winning Retail 365 solution is designed to work in single-sites or multi-site operations. Retail 365 is a cloud modular based software package that provides pharmacy retail operators with access to critical information to enable them run their business more effectively. So what’s new?

eCommerce Integration

With the growth of eCommerce across the pharmacy industry, we’ve recently integrated with some of the world’s leading eCommerce platforms. Right now, many pharmacies work separately out of both systems. When not integrated, you are responsible for manually moving data between both products.

When these processes aren’t automated, mistakes happen. Stock levels are not updated fast enough causing you to oversell. Product information could be incomplete, incorrect, or missing. All these manual processes take time. Having an integrated solution provides many advantages, including:

    • Eliminate manual entry of data to save time, while reducing errors.
    • Provide accurate stock levels
    • Allow customers to pick up online orders in store
    • Share online customer data between online store and Retail 365
    • Be flexible enough to add more sales channels and handle the growth

Realising the need to ingrate your systems is just the first step in improving your business operations.

Mobile App

Leveraging cloud capabilities, our new Retail 365 mobile app offers huge advantages. Retail 365’s mobile flexibility helps you stay connected and up-to-date on all your stock activity. New major developments include:

    • Centralised management from one cloud-based control panel.
    • Our scanning smart devices can be synchronised with either a local wifi network or Hotspot. Therefore it supports all possible environments in the most cost effective way.
    • All activities are updated in real-time, increasing the transparency and process of a stock take.
    • Instantly synchronise the count results and updates to the cloud.

Loyalty

TouchStore have recently launched a loyalty system as a new module in our retail 365 solution. The system allows you to build a comprehensive customer database and users can manage all customer data in one place. When a TouchStore loyalty card is scanned successfully, the POS will assign loyalty points to each sale base on the points per Unit Currency assigned to the products sold.

These are just some of the new innovations that TouchStore are offering!
